I've had A LOT of tea today. I've had a pot of green chai, and few cups of dandelion, two cups of rose hip, one cup of lavender with rose petals and one cup of earl grey. It's nothing out of the ordinary actually. I love to day dream while drinking tea. I love to fold washing with a hot cup of tea by my side. While I weave, knit, crochet and sew it is essential to have a cup of tea within arms reach. Addicted? Maybe, but I guess there are far worse things to be addicted to.
Today, while sipping on some rose hip tea and watching the rain pour up against the window I got a little lost in a day dream about pretty cups. As you do.
Here's a few that I was dreaming about...
Oh I do love number one with those tiny stars, but can't go past how sweet number five is. But number two's oversized handle wins I think! Lovely little post - your tea day sounds dreamy... might go make myself a cuppa now :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, just a question. Do you remember what tea/s you drank whilst you were breastfeeding? I know chamomile & fennel tea are good, but seeming your a bit of a tea queen, thought you might be able to inspire. Lola had a bit of reflux, so I found chamomile helped to settle her belly, but it would be nice to mix it up a bit for baby no. 2. Thanks lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI drank lots of chamomile too. We owned a tea shop when I was breast feeding Sadie so I think I drank everything!! Marshmallow tea is good and so is raspberry leaf and nettle tea too. I've noticed Nettle has started growing here already so you might even be able to pick fresh nettle if it grows near you? I would mix nettle with another tea like chamomile though as I'm a bit fussy with it's flavour ;-) Maybe making a ginger iced drink might be nice and it would also be soothing for your little one too! Oh your getting so close now - I bet your excited!! xx
DeleteThankyou, thankyou! Owning a tea shop sounds just a little bit perfect! Yes, nettle is growing in the bushland beyond, so will hop to it. Marshmallow & raspberry leaf sound lovely.. as does a nice ginger iced drink on those balmy spring/summer days. Yes, close & the excitement is growing stronger daily! Thanks for sharing! xx
DeleteWhat lovely choices!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm honored to see that you included my work, cups one and six! :)
I'm a big tea drinker too, so I really love making cups that make the experience extra special.
Hello! Gorgeous cups! All of them! I'm here via Pip's link up. :)
