where the forest meets the sea

Yesterday we were reminded of how lucky we are to be living in this wonderful little place in the world. In the morning we felt a little overwhelmed on a quick milk run in our little coastal town that has been inundated with summer time visitors. We decided to escape for the day. We are one hour from the big smoke in one direction and one hour from where the forest hills meet the sea in the other direction. A forest adventure was a welcomed escape after a week of over indulging in food, drinks and Christmas joy. It was a beautiful day spent walking, climbing hills, fairy hunting & picnicking. We found an apple orchard and cute little house in the middle of the forest, a heart shaped rock, a waterfall, a snake and lots of lizards. Ending with a cool drink and a quick peek at a little vintage store. Perfect! xx
